Good Deeds Day is a global celebration that unites people from more than 100 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. Each year, hundreds of thousands put into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and positively change the world. In the United States, Good Deeds Day kicks off National Volunteer Week.
Now in its 12th year, Good Deeds Day was created in 2007 by Points of Light affiliate Ruach Tova. As an event partner, Points of Light encourages our global community to participate in Good Deeds Day on April 15.
Here are several ways you can get involved in #GoodDeedsDay:
Want to create your own project? Use our toolkits and project ideas to get started. Don’t forget to register your project with Good Deeds Day to connect with other volunteers in your community — any project taking place between April 1 and April 29 will be counted as part of our collective global movement!
